Thonburi Healthcare Group Public Company Limited or THG sets the revenue growth target to increase from the revenue reported in the previous year with expectation of economic recovery and effective Covid-19 vaccine to support hospital and healthcare business. Upon receiving a nod to import vaccine, private hospitals can help with quick distribution. While the 2021 business plan aims to expand services to people of all ages, the new project is to be launched to increase service capability of the hospital.

Dr. Tanatip Suppradit (M.D.), Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Thonburi Healthcare Group Public Company Limited or THG, the leader of integrated healthcare business and the provider of quality service with advanced technology under the concept of ‘Lifetime Health Guardian For All’ revealed that after the estimation, the 2021 economy is expected to recover and the Covid-19 vaccine is an influential factor affecting confidence of the people to live their normal lives, providing positive sentiment to the outlook of hospital and healthcare business.

However, upon giving permission to private hospitals to import the vaccine, this can help the distribution of the vaccine to be more quickly, accessing to the crowd, strengthening heard immunity even better, reducing the risk of pandemic, and boosting consumer confidence. Although some people, especially from the service sector playing an important role in driving the Thai economy, are not in a major risk group, they might have to meet the crowd and the vaccine is also much needed.

Dr. Tanatip said the business operation of THG in 2021 was targeted to achieve the total revenue growth by approx. 7-10% from the previous year’s 7,300 million baht with the expectation of positive trend following the economic recovery and confidence. The business plan for this year focuses on expanding medical and healthcare services to the people of all ages. Also, business planning has to be in line with the growth strategy of each business. For instance, Thonburi Hospital, a tertiary care hospital, whose service focusing more on complicated diseases, continues to expand its service capacity, to invest in new building construction, and to acquire medical equipment and advanced technology to increase its capability to serve patients.

The business operation of Thonburi Bamrungmuang Hospital, a 6-star healthcare hospital focusing on specific treatment, is expected to improve under the condition of opening the country to receive foreign tourists which is a positive factor for the health tourism. However, Thonburi Bamrungmuang Hospital has expanded its services to local patients as a replacement after the decline of foreign patients.

Jin Wellbeing County Rangsit, on the other hand, a project on more than 140-rai of land where a 7-storey residential building of 494 units situated to provide healthcare services to the residents, is under additional development to create lively life style such as organic fruit and vegetable farming, gardening, lotus pond, and this goes as far as building shopping area of outdoor supermarket, beauty salon, retail shops, and creating activities for target group to try experimental staying at the project. Dr. Tanatip added that the new project of ‘Thonburi Health Village’ in Pracha U-Thit, a nursing home for the elderly, sanitarium patients, and bed-bound patients, is under the care of more than 40-year-experienced medical and nursing team, with 24/7 service, and food and recovery activities at the cost around 30,000-50,000 baht per month.

In addition, Thonburi Hospital Heart Center Co., Ltd., an affiliate of THG, has corporately provided academic service to Panyananthaphikkhu Chonprathan Medical Center, Srinakharinwirot University (SWU) to be developed as Excellent Center, providing 24 hours of integrated services for cardiovascular disease. It is expected to be fully opened in the second quarter of this year.
